Managing Assistant Director of Recruiting
Under the supervision of the Director of Recruiting, the Managing Assistant Director 2 will manage the recruitment of faculty, staff and/or student workers for Kean’s multiple campus locations. The Managing Assistant Director will be assigned oversight of one or more of the following areas: managerial recruitment; professional staff recruitment; faculty recruitment; Civil Service recruitment; part-time faculty and staff recruitment; student recruitment; employee classification and reclassification; special projects; and other areas as assigned.
The Managing Assistant Director will be responsible for human resources management functions related to recruitment/staffing and manages the day-to-day work operations of their assigned recruitment area(s); works with the Director to create policies and procedures and streamline processes; oversees Workday data entry and workflow; may supervise staff in their completion of recruitment responsibilities; acts as liaison with recruiting departments; and performs other related work as required. The Managing Assistant Director must ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws, university policies and procedures and follow applicable bargaining unit agreements.This position requires travel and a flexible schedule including evening and weekend hours.
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience in human resources is required. A Master’s degree and three or more years of recruiting experience in a human resources office is preferred. Candidate must have proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and HRIS. Workday experience is a plus. Excellent customer service skills and oral and written communication skills are essential.

In compliance with New Jersey’s Pay Transparency Law, the annual salary range for this position is: $72,000 to $85,000. This position may also be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, a retirement plan and benefits for work life balance.
