Job Description

Join our client’s team as a Plant Supervisor supporting a food manufacturing facility in Gloucester County, New Jersey. They are looking for a hands-on leader who wants to build a long-term career and be part of a growing, team-oriented operation. This role oversees daily production activities while helping ensure production schedules are met, food safety standards are maintained, and operational goals are achieved. Prior leadership experience within a food manufacturing environment, preferably dairy or bakery, is required. Day Shift with some Saturdays. Bilinqual candidates preferred but not required.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise daily plant operations to ensure safety, quality, and production goals are achieved
  • Lead, coach, and develop production employees across the facility
  • Monitor production schedules, labor utilization, and operational efficiencies
  • Ensure compliance with GMPs, HACCP, OSHA, and company policies and procedures
  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, Sanitation, and leadership teams to minimize downtime and improve plant performance
  • Troubleshoot production issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate production documentation and reporting
  • Promote a positive, accountable, and team-oriented culture on the production floor
  • Ensure employees follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment
  • Assist with employee training, onboarding, and performance management initiatives

Qualifications

  • 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in manufacturing
  • Food manufacturing experience required, dairy or bakery experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working in fast-paced production environments
  • Knowledge of GMPs, food safety, and manufacturing operations
  • Hands-on leadership style with the ability to motivate and develop teams
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and production reporting systems preferred
