    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Position Title: Supervisor of Preschool Instruction & Program Quality

    Qualifications:

    1. Minimum of a Master\"s degree in Early Childhood Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
    2. Must possess a New Jersey Supervisor or Principal Certificate
    3. Preschool through Grade 3 (P-3) Certification required
    4. Five (5) or more years of teaching experience in early childhood education required
    5. Two (2) or more years of supervisory and/or leadership experience (preferred)
    6. Demonstrated knowledge of NJAC 6A:13A Preschool Program Requirements and Preschool Expansion Aid (PEA) guidelines
    7. Experience with Teaching Strategies GOLD, ESI, ECERS-3 (fidelity), and early childhood instructional frameworks preferred
    8. Experience with Tools of the Mind and/or High Scope Curriculum preferred
    9. Experience working within a mixed-delivery preschool system (district and community providers) preferred

    Job Goal: The Supervisor of Preschool Instruction & Program Quality supports the implementation of a high-quality, equitable preschool program across district-operated and community provider classrooms. This role focuses on instructional leadership, staff supervision and evaluation, coaching systems, and program fidelity in alignment with NJAC 6A:13A and Preschool Expansion Aid (PEA) requirements. The Supervisor works collaboratively with district and provider staff to ensure consistent implementation of curriculum, assessment, and instructional practices that promote continuous program improvement.

    Performance Responsibilities:

    1. Conduct and manage the full staff evaluation cycle for preschool staff in alignment with the district\"s evaluation model
    2. Provide coaching and job-embedded support; develop and monitor PIPs and CAPs as needed
    3. Ensure inter-rater reliability and consistency in evaluation practices across all preschool settings
    4. Lead implementation of preschool curriculum aligned with NJ Preschool Teaching and Learning Standards
    5. Oversee Teaching Strategies GOLD implementation, including checkpoints, data quality, and training
    6. Ensure fidelity to ECERS-3 and other early childhood program quality frameworks
    7. Plan and deliver professional development related to curriculum, assessment, and instruction
    8. Analyze and utilize program data (e.g., ESI, GOLD, ECERS-3, observations) to guide instructional improvement
    9. Oversee instructional practices in all community provider classrooms through site visits and observations
    10. Collaborate with providers to ensure alignment with district expectations and state requirements
    11. Supervise and support the Preschool Intervention and Referral Team (PIRT)
    12. Collaborate with CST, CPIS, and staff to support inclusion and early intervention
    13. Coordinate the Early Childhood Advisory Council (ECAC) and support family engagement initiatives
    14. Serve as lead administrator for Grow NJ Kids (GNJK), including documentation, monitoring, and quality improvement
    15. Support compliance with NJAC 6A:13A and preparation for NJDOE monitoring and audits
    16. Support enrollment, recruitment, and lottery processes
    17. Support preschool-to-kindergarten transition planning
    18. < span times="" new="" roman5c222cserif3bfont-size3a11pt3b22="">Assist with staffing needs, including substitute coordination and classroom ratios
    19. Maintain records of observations, coaching, and program supports< /li>
    20. Participate in recruitment, selection, and onboarding of preschool staff
    21. Collaborate with district leadership, administrators, and community partners
    22. Uphold and enforce school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policy
    23. Perform other duties as assigned

    Terms of Employment: 12 month; salary and benefits as negotiated, commensurate with qualifications and experience.

    Salary Range: $115,000 - $125,000

    Funding Source: Preschool Education Aid (PEA)

    Evaluation: Performance on this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the Board\"s policy on evaluation of certified staff
