Position Overview

Rider University invites applications for the position of Office Operations Manager for the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS). The position will play a vital role in bridging operations across existing CAS programs and those housed in the College of Education and Human Services. The Office Operations Manager supports the Dean and the Dean's Office by managing administrative operations and assisting with various student information related tasks. The Office Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing financial processes including managing budget tracking, assisting with faculty and staff contracts, and ensuring smooth and organized daily office operations.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Two or four-year degree.

  • 3-5 years of demonstrated experience maintaining confidential matters.

  • Demonstrated professionalism at all levels.

  • Demonstrated excellent communication and organizational skills/experience.

  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Adobe, and Google Drive.

  • Must be able to work independently and proactively and be able to prioritize.

  • Demonstrated ability to set the professional tone and atmosphere for the office.

  • Ability to multi-task.

  • Strong time management skills.

  • Ability to handle challenging situations.

  • Demonstrated experience/skill managing administrative staff.

  • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 4-year degree.

  • 2 years’ experience of administrative staff management.

  • Ability to use Banner and Canvas.

  • Experience with spreadsheets.

  • Familiarity with higher education environment.
